LIA’s vision is three-fold

THE FIRST
The first is orphanages for very poor
,at risk and orphaned children and have them sponsored so they can be fed, educated and equipped ready for their adult life.

The orphanages at LIA are a family oriented atmosphere so the children really know what it is like to be supported and loved.

Most importantly the children will be taught in the ways of Christ, so they in turn can spread the message of Jesus throughout the nation to there own people in a caring and also practical way.

THE SECOND
The Second area of Love In Action vision is to assist the people of the nation in a very practical way by setting up Medical Clinics.
The people are so poor they cannot even treat themselves for anything as simple a as headache.

We purchase medications for different ailments that we see is necessary .

Either Ruth or another experienced person working with LIA will distribute and oversee the distribution of these medications. We have a Cambodian Doctor, we can employ who can go out with us at certain times to examine and treat the people. Ruth has worked in and set up many of these clinics over a number of years and found that they are very effective in both a physical and spiritual sense in touching people’s lives.

THE THIRD

The Third area of Love in Action vision has two aspects.

Firstly, a Training Course will see teams of no more than twelve or individuals to live on the LIA training base.

People will be practically trained, equipped & discipled practically and spiritually in work in a third world nation.

The course will be for a period of 1 month where they will be taught in all practical, emotional and spiritual areas by lectures from trained people in different areas of work in third world nations.

The trainees will be taken into a variety of areas out amongst the people of the country were they can start to put into action what they are learning.

The trainees will be constantly assessed and guided by an appropriate caring trainer as impartation is what this style of work is all about.

We work in affiliation with local churches and other non-government organizations in Cambodia.

The trainees will find that there will be a lot of challenges and room to grow but will have loving guidance and prayerful support by Ruth and other trainers.                                                                                                  It is all part of the process of equipping people in care work and missions.

The LIA Training Centre will provide all meals and be accommodated for this period of time in the cost of the programme or as arranged. All trainees will be required to keep their own areas of responsibility tidy, do own laundry and appropriate chores.

The costing details are attached on the application form. The trainees will be required to have a reference from appropriate respected people they have known for more than five years and a blue card for Australians or police check for other countries to cover areas of safety in working with children and an openness and willingness to apply themselves to training. Upon acceptance of their application each person will be required to arrange travel to Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, and then to let us know the details of their arrival. They will be met by Ruth or an assistant and taken to the Training Centre.

The second area is to have Short Term teams for 2-3 weeks come and visit Cambodia, were the teams will have hands on experience in working in our care projects and orphanages. This is open to people of all age groups to learn how to work and operate effectively in the area of these types of projects.

We know this will be a great experience for all involved and we look forward to being part of working with people to help us build a better Cambodia.
