Phnom Penh Staff

LIA has five local Khmers that work full time with us at our childrens home in Phnom Penh. The staff all live on site and each have area's of oversite of agegroups of LIA children. We have a main staff member who is the housemother and has the responsibility of dealing directly with Ruth of any major incidents or activities in our LIA home.  
The staff have specific areas of responsibilities. Such as  cooking, cleaning and generally overseeing the running of our children. We al so have also have a married Khmer couple that live on site . The male staff member helps in caring for the boys. One of the above female staff members goes over daily to assist Ruth is personally as a nanny for our babies and cleaner. We also have two of our older girls assisting Ruth personally and other older girls and boys all help in the day to day running of our homes. This all helps prepare our children for their own adult life. The male employee is also our van for teams and transport our children to school daily. English teacher comes in daily to tutor our children privately in english. We also have international volunteers who come in as teams or individuals to work amongst us in all areas of Love in Action. We have a music/art teacher to whom we send our children that are gifted in these area's. These children go on a weekly basis and are tutored after school in their gifted area of choice. This includes music on keyboard, guitar, recorder ,music theory,art, etc. 

Svay Reing 

BETHEL HOUSE Ti

This is the name of our home in Svay Reing. In Svay Reing we have a young Cambodian man 25 yrs old called Ti. Ti has been trainded by a local church in the area of Takeo whom we network with. Ti oversights the Svay Reing home which now houses fiftteen young male adults that go to the local universtiy in Svay Reing. He also oversee three small churches L Village areas of Svay Reing. Ti has a heart to see his own people trained and cared for and this is part of his work with us at Love In Action.Ti is married with a baby girl.Svay Reing is also used as a training centre to educate people in bible knowledge. Up to thirty is classed as a small group meeting so we use our wisdom of God and go ahead in this area that is opening up. Ti speaks english and when we work locally in the area, he assists us in interpretation and letting us know the area's needs as they arise.Our house in Svay Reing is also used as a base for teams and our medical clinics are being run fortnightly/monthly in this area with many medical needs being met. This is a very poor area and it needs much assistance in any way we can. These medical clinics meet many needs as the simplest of ailments can cause life threatening or more serious problems if not treated firstly with the appropriate medication. Svay Reing is only half an hour from the Vietnam border where communism rules. Svay Reing is a powerful training arm of our work at Love In Action.
