Ruth Golder is the Founder and CEO of Love In Action

The dream of livng and working in Cambodia was planted in Ruth's heart many years ago.Ruth has 27 years experience in living and working in third world countries such as India, Africa, Phillipines, China, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Since 2001 Ruth has been living and working in Cambodia. She has a great desire to see the eople of Cambodia given a future and a hope. At the beginning of 2004 Ruth started the work of Love in Action as a charity work in its own right. Where the name Love In Action speaks for itself. Love in Action is a christian based interdenominational charity organization and aims to show the people of Cambodia what caring really means. Ruth has always been a very active and respected member and leader in her local community as well as her local church on the sunshine coast in Queensland Australia. Ruth has proven herself on so many levels in working with people in nursing, counselling, leadership training and business. s a widow and has lived and based herself on the sunshine coast Qld Australaia since 1974, when her then sick and dying husband shifted his family off their farm north of the coast. He settled them in Nambour. Qld  before he died of cancer in November 1974. Raising her three children alone after her husband's death, Ruth then turned her efforts to helping the less fortunate overseas, continuing to fulfil her desire of reaching out to others in need. Ruth has been trained in leadership training, pastoring, children's work, team leadership and medical care as a nurse.Ruth has the attitude ," Anything your hand finds to do,do it with all your might." Whether it be cleaning toilets or being in a kings court. Ruth has been given much favour in the nations where she has worked from governments to village elders. Ruth considers it the highest privilege to work for God and serving others in the area's God has called her to work in. Her passion for the children and people of Cambodia is contagious. Many teams and individuals come through visit, work and stay at love in action and comment on how this one individual has so much love to give. They also find themselves adopted by this woman that has the capacity to make all welcome and at home wherever she maybe. Ruth has always made people feel loved and supported and her home a safe place, where anyone from stranger or friend alike can lay their head. Her well of internal strength comes from her deep relationship with her God and her many years of hardship have driven her to know His love.

Ruth is a woman that lives by what she says and desires to train others to fulfill and recognize their call and talents in life and mostly know themselves.   

Love in Action is run by the donations of caring and passionate people.

Ruth knows herself what it is to live on the edge and see wonderful things happen for the Glory of her Saviour. Serving God is her driving force !
