Team Information

Our desire at Love in Action is to give opportunity for those in more prosperous countries to help the children and people of Cambodia, and go where they can experience first hand what it is to help the less fortunate.  We find that many people who come, leave feeling that they have been enriched.
The teams stay in very comfortable dormitory style accommodation at a specific premises that is our Love In Action Teamhouse in the city of Phnom  Penh. This home is the base for teams when in Cambodia. Our desire is that it is a home away from home whilst working with the people & children of the nation.                                                         Internet access is available with LIA computers setup in the team lounge area.                                                                                                We take most teams with us on medical clinics, which are three hours drive from Phnom Penh in a town called Svay Reing shich is twenty minutes from the Vietnam/Cambodian border. We stay overnight at our other Love in Action home in Svay Reing or out in a village home if teams want a taste of the real Cambodia. No specific talent is necessary to go on a team as the most necessary ability is to love and encourage.

On these clinics we treat basic medical needs we give treatment for infected wounds, eye & ear infections, vitamins,  antibiotics for an assessed ailment etc. No great medical knowledge is needed and everyone can be of assistance. Whether it be packing tablets, showing someone how to administer eye or ear drops to entertaining the waiting crowd. We  take necessary precautions such as wearing gloves etc and no one is made to do anything they do not feel comfortable in assisting in.

If anyone does have specific talents such as drama, puppetry, music, nursing, dental care, english teaching etc, they will certainly have opportunity to put their gifts and training to use. Ruth networks with other charitable works around Phnom Penh, so if desired we can arrange for the specific teams to be amongst these other organizations.

All they need is love
