LOVE IN ACTION is a work based in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia. Love in Action runs two childrens homes and a team house for volunteers in Phnom Pehn and one home in Svay Reing a small province town near the Vietnam border. Our Home in Svay Reing is a home for young men that attend the local university. These young men cannot afford to travel from their province village areas so our home accomodation for them allows them to study without the pressure of travel and living costs. We also assist them with food.  From the Svay Reing base we also have a team house where we take the teams that come for short periods of time and we run medical clinics for the poorer province people.

LIA is a non-government, not for profit organization with all funds being given by sponsorship or donation. Love In Action is proud to be a partner with Global Development Group Australia carrying out humanitarian projects providing aid helping to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions through quality aid and development projects. Tax deductible receipts for donations within Australia and USA to this approved aid and development project will be issued by Global Develoment Group for Project J142 Love In Action Cambodia.                Ruth Golder is founder and president of Love In Action. Ruth has worked in third world countries for twenty-six years.
We prefer to call our homes Love in Action (LIA) family homes, as we create an atmosphere of family for our children. They are homes where the children are loved, supported and cared for as a family.
Our children thrive under such a safe enviroment.

Many children of Cambodia are sold into prostitution, child labour, abuse, abandoned and orphaned at a young age. We want to be a part of saving as many of these children as possible from such a destructive lifestyle.                                                                                 Our children are educated in private schools within their culture and given extra tuition in the English language and social etiquette at home in Love in Action. They also receive music & computer lessons. This helps give them the greatest opportunities for work in their adult life.

As our children progress into early teenage years we see them trained toward the area of work they desire. We network with other organizations to gain work experience in areas of computers, mechanics, sewing, cooking, housekeeping, medical aid, music, teaching and other areas of interest.

At Love in Action we build a happy, healthy and safe environment where children can be just that, children.

Medical Clinics
Medical clinics are another arm of the work of Love in Action. This is our area of care to the community within areas of Cambodia. Many people die or are debilitated by such simple illnesses. If treated with appropriate medication in time, there is no reason why they should lose limbs, sight, hearing etc, and even die in some cases. At present we have three medical clinics at Srey Rieng where another LIA home is located.

We run these clinics when teams come and visit our LIA work where we provide medical aid for a variety of ailments as well as distribute vitamins. More serious cases are assessed by a Khmer doctor then sent to a hospital. Basic medical care and cleanliness is most necessary in many situations.
Love in Action is a part of building a future and hope for the people of Cambodia

Poverty Assistance                                                                 Our poverty assistance program at Love In Action is our care arm and helps us to assist single parents, children, the sick, dying and elderly. We provide assistance in helping them  keep their children and homes, medical aid, follow up care from illness or disease, provision of clothes and food. This helps break the cycle of need within the nation of Cambodia. It aids in keeping together family units and also the loneliness that comes at times of death or distress through illness or poverty.
