“1000 Sponsors in 2010"
The “1000 in December” campaign that was launched in 2008 has been extended through 2009 and now 2010.
“1000 Sponsors in 2010” aiming at reaching our goal.
The vision is to have 1000 people give 10 dollars per month as an ongoing donation.
That’s just $2.50 a week, not even the cost of a cup of coffee or a burger from MacDonald’s
This will assist us paying some of our basic running costs per month.
All the values listed below are in US dollars which is the main currency used within Cambodia.
This gives you a small idea of our basic costs to keep our children, staff & work housed and fed.
Rents on Premises - $2400
Gas & Electricity on all Premises-$1000(varies)
Water Cost all Premises - $ 460 (varies)
Food Provision- 2500 Staff Wages $850
Vehicle- Fuel & Maintanance - $700
Poverty Assistance Programmes - $580
Education & Provisions - $800 (varies)
Medical Aid - $2000 (approx)
Australian Office Expenses- $1520 (varies)
Being that we are an Australian based work, the low value of the Australian dollar has increased our basic running costs dramatically and put a drain on us financially .
There are many other costs which comes with running LIA family Homes.
Those who have families know what it costs to provide for the ones they love.
Just imagine having ninety-two children in your family!!!! Phew!!!!!
Our vision at LIA is to provide the best possible future so that our children can in turn help their own people to build a better nation !
