LOVE IN ACTION is a work based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, running orphanages, young adults home, medical clinics and poverty assistance. Ruth Golder is the Founder and Executive Director of Love In Action.
Ruth has had 25 years experience in living and working in third world countries such as India, Africa, Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and China.
Since 2001 Ruth has been living and operating organizations within Cambodia. She has an deep desire to see the people of Cambodia given a future and a hope.
At the beginning of 2004 Ruth started the work of Love in Action, where the name of this work speaks for itself. Love in Action is a charity based on Christian values which aims to show the people of Cambodia what caring really means.
Ruth is a widow and has lived and based herself on the Sunshine Coast, Qld Australia since 1974. After raising her three children and being a respected member of her local community in working with and assisting others, Ruth turned her efforts to helping those overseas. This has fulfilled her lifelong desire of reaching out to others in need. Ruth considers it a privilege to work for God and others in this way.
Love in Action is a registered Charity and is funded solely by donations of caring people. Ruth herself knows what it is to live on the edge financially but her love and effort allows her to see and be part of wonderful things.
